A splash of color from a sweater knitted in soft Double Sunday, Sandnes Garn.
The body and sleeves are knitted separately before being gathered together to form the yoke, which is then knitted with raglan decreases.
The pattern is really fun to knit and when you also change colors often it's extra fun! Yes, at least we think so :)
Sizes:
Sizes: 1 (2) 4 (6) 8 years
Overall width: 63 (66) 70 (73) 76 cm
Total length: 34 (36) 39 (43) 47 cm
Sleeves: 20 (23) 27 (30) 33 cm
The measurements given are not body measurements but measurements of the finished knitted sweater if the correct knitting tension is followed. The sizes are indicative.
Knitting strength:
23 stitches x 32 rows knitted pattern on 5 mm needles = 10 cm
Guiding pins:
Circular needle: 4 ½ and 5 mm (40 and 60 cm)
Double pointed needles: 4 ½ and 5 mm.
Sample note:
Yes - it's boring!, BUT since the sweater is knitted with two colors in the pattern/structure, most of us knit tighter than we do with stockinette stitch. It is therefore extra important to ensure that the sweater gets the correct measurements. It is more boring to end up with a sweater that doesn't fit :) Find out how many stitches you have in 10 cm. If you have more stitches than stated in the pattern, you need to change to thicker needles, and vice versa.
