Si Patrona! is an easy-to-knit, cozy and warm sweater, with Mexican-inspired embroidery on the back. You choose whether you want to knit a high or low neck. The sweater is knitted from the top down with a thread of Peruvian together with a thread of Tilia. When the neck is knitted, reverse rows (German Short Rows/GSR) are used to shape the neck, while increasing to raglan. The length of the sweater is up to you. Measure along the way so that you get the desired length. If you knit it longer than the measurements given in the pattern, you must make sure that you have enough yarn.
Yarn: Peruvian and Tilia from Filcolana.
Knitting tension: 17 stitches x 23 rounds stocking stitch at 5 ½ mm = 10 x 10 cm
Recommended needles: Circular needle: 5 and 5 ½ mm (40 and 80/100 cm) Knitting needles: 5 and 5 ½ mm

About the embroidery:
The motif on the back is embroidered with only one type of stitch, backstitch. Follow the instructions and drawings in the pattern.
You can find videos explaining the embroidery process on the Instagram account (@bytheknittingstories) and here on the website.
Embroidering on knitwear using this method is much easier than you think :)
The entire large embroidery is drawn on the large sheet of vellum, so the hoop must be moved a couple of times along the way.
